Julie-Anne is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the African Education Program, where she works to unlock the potential of young people and communities through education and local leadership. She helped start the African Education Program as a 10th grader in 2004, and two years later partnered with community leaders in Kafue, Zambia to open the organization’s flagship Learning & Leadership Center.

Since leading the African Education Program full-time beginning in 2014, Julie-Anne has focused on strengthening local teams and supporting community-led initiatives in Zambia and Rwanda. She is driven by her passion for nurturing changemakers and building partnerships that create lasting, locally rooted impact.
